Our Journey
The Assisted Living Home in Laudium was established in May 2012 as the very first project of The Garden Social Services, following the organisation’s identification of a critical need for a dedicated care facility for the aged and frail within the community. As a pioneering initiative, the home laid the foundation for the organisation’s commitment to compassionate, community-based care. Since its inception, the centre has grown significantly through continuous professional development, the strengthening of care standards, and the expansion of services. Today, in addition to providing quality assisted living care, the facility also functions as a training centre for caregiver graduates completing their learnerships, thereby contributing to skills development, employment creation, and the long-term sustainability of quality care within the community.
